The cost of incorporating virtual reality-based immersive learning is 15000$ to 400000$. This is depending on what or how you want to use it. The cost depends on how much VR or AI intervention you are looking at.
But this article is not about using VR. And the cost is not the only limiting factor. It’s more about how you can create an “immersive” learning environment sans VR or AI.
Now I am not against VR or AI. But like any other technology, it has its own advantages and disadvantages. Let’s keep those for some other time.
For today lets talk about including immersive techniques into our learning process. Can we create better learning experience exploiting technology… but without going on an overdrive?
Let me begin with some of the challenges we are currently facing in learning and development and how it fits into the bigger picture.
1. There is an increasing attention deficit in your younger employees. Blame it on mobility, generation gap or the slack in the worldwide economy.
2. Learning environments continue to exist in legacy format. Think of the training batches you have. Classroom modules that are more of “death by power-point” sessions.
3. How are you tracking training effectiveness? Do you still distribute printed sheets for training feedback? Or collect it on the portal that never presents data. Or just that you never look at it.
So here are some problems staring at you.
– Employees hired are not able to perform on the job
– Employees with decent performance don’t stay or quit
– Existing employees are unable to up-skill and we fail to provide them enough resources.
That list can go long. But let’s limit to this, for now, to set things in perspective. And I will tell you if you can’t level up on setting up the right systems and processes for training and development. Put VR learning into back-burner for some time.
Concentrate on developing “agile” modules that are highly interactive and immersive. The word immersive is not reserved for VR training. Every human brain is capable of immersion. All you got to do is provide them interactivity and engagement.
The effort that you will put into creating new modules should go beyond the “run of the mill approach.” Challenge creativity, bring in real interactivity, design courses with learning goals in mind.
Now if you can do that… You might well take the right foot forward on VR because that will be a natural progression. You will have a baseline that you can develop from and it performs pretty well already.
So now you wanna know what am I talking about? And some of you will say- Enough talking Arshad… Tall claims! Do you have anything to show?
Well, I have…
There are better ways to make your online learning experience “highly immersive”. The key is high INTERACTIVITY & ENGAGEMENT.
This can be achieved more easily than you think… I am talking about an experience that’s
✔Learner-focused and highly effective.
✔Completely online and personalized. And a lot, lot more…

If you like what you see… Don’t forget to book a time for a discussion at the end. Also, take the complete demo course to understand the capability. It’s an easy module on Digital Marketing and should take roughly 10-20 minutes.
