The best way to succeed is to work on your passion. Doing what you are passionate about automatically increases your chances of success…Why?
Because once you are working on your passion you don’t have to answer those intelligent questions:
- Why are you doing this?
- What will it do for you?
- Will it make you money?
- How long can you do that?
- Why not do xyz… Joe did that and made millions.
Being passionate about something will help you overcome challenges. People would love to know more about what you are doing and if they can do it too. Everyone wants to find their purpose and they want to work with someone who is passionate about what he or she does.
But what if you don’t know what you are passionate about? Whatever you do you just can’t figure it out. If you are putting off your dreams to be successful in life doing what you are passionate about…you are not alone.
The trick is to somehow zero in on something that you might love doing and people would be willing to pay you for it. Now, how difficult is doing that?

Now here are some pointers on how you might uncover what you are passionate about…
- Follow your curiosity. What are you generally curious about? Even if you are not sure what passion you need to follow in life, everyone has one curiosity or the other. Nurture it! Find out how far can you go with it. Would you like to know more, learn better something about or even teach others? You might well be on to something.
It might not be initially obvious but as you uncover layer by layer what you are curious about and why… You might well have a cue or something you would be passionate about.
- Don’t think about feasibility and money. Believe it or not, but years of conditioning and logic can kill an idea even before it is born. Some of the best ideas or inventions that made a fortune were initially ridiculed or banished as a waste of time. If you have the filters of feasibility and money making from the start…There is high likelihood you will severely limit your possibilities.
For a moment explore your ideas freely. Think about what you would love doing. Is it a hobby, interest or an activity? Is it something you were great at younger…? Is there something you are really good at now? Do you always get kudos for something from your friends and family? Catch those ideas and you would be sitting on a list of ideas that could be your passion.
- Don’t be afraid to quit if something is not working. A lot of people realize what they are doing daily…is not their passion. They picked up a job, profession or a business they no more chime with… but still stay in the position they hate nonetheless.
The main reason they don’t leave what they are doing is they are not sure what they will do with there lives.
Staying with what you hate will not allow you to learn or discover your ideal career. If the current situation is not working for you its time you called quits.
So act fast, Start new and fail quickly! If you find something that ticks for you-you will know. But you will never do if stuck with the old. It’s time you stretch yourself and lookout for the new.
I have put in considerable time to find what I love doing and it has been changing over time. I never carried an idea for too long if it was not working. The process of unraveling your passion is continuous and many a times its peeling off the layers from what you are currently doing.
