Are You Selling Yourself Right Online… and Enough?

One of the most fundamental lessons in selling is “Facing Rejection”

A lot of people actually relate rejection with selling but that is not true.

Every one of us is selling something or other all the time.

Moms and Dads sell to kids, Teachers sell to students, Managers sell to their teams. Who doesn’t “ask a favor” or “sell an idea”.

But salesmen are a different breed. They can pitch you without much preparation and almost when you are least expecting.

If they get rejected they part with a smile telling you how you can reach them if you need to.

Selling is generally something looked down to… People hate being sold!

People are so guarded to selling that businesses almost turn sneaky and enter your brain in non suspecting ways…

When it comes to selling my suggestion is never sell anything until you are convinced yourself…

When you are solving a problem and believe in what you are selling… it’s no more selling. People want their problem solved help them do that… and you will be surprised how simple it is to have a valuable discussion than doing a sales pitch.

So what is the best way to get the discussion going? Off-course you got to start with the problems you are solving, what do you help your customers achieve…

But then the true salesmanship is when your prospects try your stuff… do your recommendation and want more of it. Why is that?

Because now they know you have a solution to their problem, they can trust you with their hard earned money.

Once you get this working you will have a thriving business and a pipeline full of leads.

Next obvious step is to do this more and more. So how do you do that…Well, you have to reach out to your customers. Find where they hang out. Offer great value if possible for FREE and then see the magic happen.

Talking particularly about online marketing you have to do this either with organic or paid traffic…

Discussion forums, Groups, Online boards are great places to generate organic traffic if you have a meaningful discussion.

Convert that discussion to a valuable post and you have content to attract traffic from search engines.

Give that a spin to create an awesome copy for landing page and its time for you to test paid traffic to your offer.

So having a great offer that prompts discussion is the first step. (Never sell anything again) and then go and do that in all different places.

Got enough cues…? Get to work!
