I was 7 years old when I cracked open my uncles costly Seiko watch and couldn’t figure how it worked. The dots and lines packed in small space intrigued me and I wondered how this thing was made. From there on I was a famous troublemaker who could open up anything working in no time.
Needless to say, once these things were opened it was a game over for both me and the poor device. But strangely as I kept on learning I moved on from watches to timepieces, alarm clocks, call bells, table fans, mixers, tape-recorders, VCR’s, TV sets to Mobiles and LCDs.
To my surprise now I could assemble them back and get them working. My amusement of how things worked grew and moved on from things to universe and self.
I earned a B.Sc (Life sciences) from University of Allahabad and landed my first job as a medical representative. I traveled a lot, met at-least 30 strangers a day and pitched to doctors and pharmacists in some of the most interior parts of India you can imagine.
I changed jobs from pharma to surgical to consumer durable, specializing in physical business launches, expansion, and promotion.
This is the time I felt the need of having a handle on business management and so I earned a full-time postgraduate degree in marketing from ICFAIAN Business School Hyderabad.
Fast forward worked with some of the best multinationals like Unichem, Ranbaxy, GE Capital and Infosys. Some 20 years passed by in the areas of Sales, Operations, Service Quality. I extensively worked on internal consulting, management and compliance. Had a chance to work on some great projects, deliver interesting presentations and survive numerous corporate reshuffles.
I was always at the helm of affairs, planning and executing initiatives. Getting buy ins, facing reviews and convincing sponsors. I became an expert in developing corporate collaterals and pitching them. That’s were I came to appreciate the power of persuasive copywriting, human psychology and testing hypothesis.
There on I branched into content management and then copywriting and finally started my own digital marketing agency in 2014. I have now worked on more than 100 digital marketing campaigns for me and my clients and there is no stopping.
In my career spanning 20 years I have trained, coached and mentored thousands of people…managed teams of more than 100 directly and mentored more than 30 people successfully for promotions.
